Maggie draws on 20 years of investigative, trial, and appellate experience to provide strategic counsel to individuals and organizations facing complex legal challenges. She has extensive experience conducting sensitive internal investigations, and regularly advises organizations on crisis management related to matters of criminal law, sexual misconduct and employment disputes. Maggie also represents individuals in white collar criminal matters, including those under investigation by government agencies. With deep trial experience in federal and state court, Maggie advocates in and out of the courtroom for clients who have been defrauded or experienced sexual harm or discrimination in the workplace. She co-founded a nationwide working group of Title IX practitioners and regularly counsels families whose children are navigating the criminal system or Title IX process, and those seeking civil remedies for harms they’ve endured.
As a federal prosecutor in the Eastern District of New York, Maggie served as the Deputy Chief of the Organized Crime and Gang section. She investigated and prosecuted sophisticated criminal organizations engaged in racketeering offenses, as well as individuals involved in sex trafficking, murder, fraud, and corruption. Maggie began her career at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office where she served in the Rackets Bureau and conducted extensive and often complex investigations into money laundering and other white collar offenses. She also prosecuted the first case in New York County charging a violation of the state terrorism statute.
As a federal prosecutor, Maggie won several awards. She twice received the “Prosecutor of the Year” award from the Federal Law Enforcement Association and the “True American Hero” award from the Federal Drugs Agents Foundation. As a state prosecutor, Maggie received a commendation for "Extraordinary Service” from the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.
